If you saw my tweet and facebook posting, I gave you a "homemade" recipe for an awesome hair treatment! Sometimes a girl has to take time out for herself and just do the things that make us feel good! So, if you haven't seen my tweet or posting, check it out, and let me know how it works for yah!

But don't you agree, that when it comes to hair,  your "bad hair days" outnumber your "good hair days"?  And when you have a bad hair day, don't you feel like the whole day can be ewwwww.. ? lol. It stumps me sometimes, because when I feel as though my hair just looks atrocious and want to put a bag over my head,,  I will receive a compliment! ???? Does that ever happen to you?

Yep, so it was that time to beautify myself. I have always had an "inverted hair cut", but am trying to grow it out, but still want to keep the "A" line.  When I moved to Cali, I had no clue where to go for my cut/color, and with a whopping $180 price tag! Sorry, but this madmoiselle refuses to pay that!  I stumbled across the "The Paul Mitchell School", in Costa Mesa, CA.  I have been going there for four years and TOTALLY LOVE IT!  When you walk in, you are in a "real salon environment".  All of the staff dresses in black, and it is always fun to see what funky outfit that the students are wearing. The teachers are so trendy and many work at high class salons in Newport Beach, etc. But besides the "experience", I love the fact that I can get a $100 hair cut for.. $10! Yep, you are right, $10 buckaroos!  A color $30 and highlights might cost 50.00.  So I can walk out with a cut, color, and tip,  max $80.00.  There are schools all over the country, so google Paul Mitchell Schools; I know in Michigan, there is a school in Port Huron and Sterling Heights.

This time, I just went for a trim, and my student, Brittany was so cool.  She and a few other students  had the "new" mohawk look that I saw on Yahoo today!  Rhianna and a few other celebs are doing this.  Either the traditional "mohawk", or with one side long and one side shaved, or short.   Check it out!  I think that I will stick to my "Inverted Bob"?? But my student, Brittany, looked fab, and Rhianna, that lucky girl can wear and do about anything and still be a fashionista.

Another thing that Brittany and I were discussing are "hair extensions", yes I know that they have been around forever. But I am trying to grow my mop out, and then I get sick of it because my hair does in all different directions.  So, maybe I should have Brittany hook me up, nothing too long, because I don't know what I would look like! Maybe down to my shoulders?

Hope that you had fun today in the "chambre" (french for room)....  make sure to visit Paul Mitchell if you can,, it is worth the experience.  Our Salon even has aethisitians and you can get a full facial for $40.,, maybe next time?  oui oui?

Merci Madmoiselles! Let me know how the recipe works for you! :) And don't forget to give another madmoiselle a compliment, you never know what kind of day her "hair" is having.

Right off of the run way.... my dream come true... to go to Fashion Week in Paris! Heck, any fashion show will do:). But guess what?  The LA Fashion Week is coming in March!  And a mini version in Palm Springs! Have to find someone with connections in the fashion world of  LA, but I will find it!  I am commited to my mademoiselles! Where there is a will, there is a way, right? At least I can go to Palm Springs, OOH LA LA!

As I was reading the "Glamour" beauty blog/website (check it out, very cool!), I was overwhelmed and did not know what do look at first.  Awww, how about the makeup trend for Spring 2010?  What is Chanel forecasting?  I don't know about you, but I have seen beautiful, vibrant shades of violet.  That is a color that NO ONE can go wrong with :). However, Chanel created a "soft, fresh, natural" look using beige, bronze, and shimmery amethyst shadows.  The smoky look with thick lashes has a beautiful mix of the neutral shades with a glimmer of awwww,, yesss, a hint of the violet family.  What I like the most is that the cheeks were dusted with "pinky" bronze blush and the lips a hint of pinky-beige lipstick.

This I like!  When I was in Orlando, I found, I think my second most fav store.... "Love Culture" (and yes, there is one in MI, on the east side!).  This store is like a step up of Forever 21 and the theme is romantic, soft, feminine fashion.. Parisian Style.  When I wear my new pencil skirt and blouse (absolutely stunning, so unique!) I will take a pic for you:).  The best part, once again, skirt - $15 and blouse $21!  Wait until you see the details!

Hope that you enjoyed today's glamour tip. I can't wait to find a pinky-beige lipstick and yep I can use my new OPI Plum and new amethyst eye shadow.

I leave you with two things, first, if you would like to have some fun and learn "basic french" with me, follow me on Twitter :).  See the famous birdie below or www.twitter.com/LaPinkChambre.

Secondly, I would love to know what you think about the new Chanel Makeup Trend for Spring 2010?  And what is your fav color of lipstick?  Do you prefer color or a'natural? Or are you a gloss girl?

Visit www.glamour.com to see the whole gig! (Backstage Beauty: The 5 Best Makeup Looks from the Paris Runways).  Make sure to google Love Culture to find a location near you, it is well worth the distance, if it is over an hour drive. To my Californians, we do have near LA and I think one in Riverside. Let me know if you go!

Merci! xoxox

Bon Jour Mademoiselles! When people go on trips, they collect a variety of memoriblila to bring home; tshirts, spoons, keychains, shot glasses, charms, but as for me.... I love to buy a new pair of shoes to remind me of my awesome trip! Isn't it fun to venture into another store that you may not have ever been too or maybe one of your all time favs (my reason is to see if the store has anything different then you have at home, i.e. the Target 75% Clearance Rack, what about you?).  And one of those places where I can find a unique bit of fashion is The Nordstrom Rack.  If you haven't been to one, GO! Google for one in your area, the Fashion Gods command you. Last week, I was in Orlando, Fla, with my hubby. What a lucky girl that I am, while he was working at a trade show, I had the oppotunity to go to outlet heaven!.  I am talking 3 Major Prime Outlet Malls and side street outlets all within a 2 mile radius!  So, as a momento for my trip, I had to take these gorgeous shoes home with me. Plus we went to the Daytona 500, and they do kind of resemble the NASCAR flag? Yeah Dale JR! Okay girls, the pic does not do these  shoes justice!  They are a pair of "PELLE" moda sandals, with the softest black suede and the most comfortable leather insole and that I have donned on my feet.  Although these shoes are a 4 inch heel, I feel like I am walking on air.  Oh, and my favorite part about the shoe,, the checkered, braided, black and white part around the bottom of the toe.  If you could only see the workmanship of these shoes!  The best part,, Shoes retail @ 179.00, on sale for 70.00, and they were 1/2 off of that....  $35.00.  Yes girls, you must google and go to The Rack!  And oh my gosh, the shoes are going to go perfect with my new gray pencil skirt and white blouse that I bought at "LoveCulture:,,,, but that is for another day!  Stay tuned for more shoe tales... do you have one? Or what is the most beloved thing that you have ever splurged on vaca for yourself?  Can't wait to hear!  Merci :)

Blogging is so exciting and adventurous.. I could spend hours researching the "how to's of blogging. But instead, I want to bring you a very cool blog that I found:
http://fashiontrendguide.blogspot.com/. This girl has it together and has awesome pics for the Spring Fashion Forecast. What do you think of the cute rhinestone bracelet/ring at Forever 21? Gotta love their jewelry and accessories; very trendy and inexpensive. (I am talking $5 for a unique piece!) And for all of you snowbound girls, hang in there, Spring is almost here; these pics will help take away the log cabin blues. The Spring Trends are refreshing, light, flirty, feminine, and beautiful. Enjoy!

Welcome to my blog :) I have always had a love for fashion, especially shoes. I am always trying to reorganize my closet to find a way to accommodate my passion; the flops, heels, wedges, boots, running shoes, need I say more? I need another pair of shoes like I need a hole in my head! But what a cute, sexy pair of heels can do for girl :)

My second passion is finding a fashion bargain! Don't you feel great when you find that "perfect" cute little outfit and everyone has to know, "where did you get that?".. Why is it that we always reveal our secret and the price tag? Yep, shopping for the bargain is the female hunt. We want to look like a million dollars on a dollar, right?

My mission for this blog is to spread the good word to my fellow local Californians and women world wide about our So Cal treasures. I cannot tell you how much fun that I have driving around the Orange County/Los Angeles area. Many times, I "stumble" upon these hidden boutiques and fall in love! I think, does anyone know about this place? How I would love to share my secret to other women. Isn't that what we love to do?

Come back to find your treasure, fashion tips, and just cool stuff!
