Anklet Socks for Fall 2010.. off the runway! Shoe #1

 Rhianna.... love her style!

The Anklet sock!!! I remember when these were in style when I was 10 (yeah, about 32 years ago! :)lol. My sister had a pair of anklet socks to wear with her "Candies' (from the movie Grease, remember?). But when I was looking at my In Style Magazine, I fell in LOVE with the new look of the anklet and will scan the pic so you can see why!

What I have found is that there are many ways to wear this sock, and when I was on our little vaca in San Fran this weekend, the anklet sock found me! :).. and of all places..at the "American Apparel" shop. I will show you in my vid tomorrow the look and give you some tips of how to wear the anklets to give you a "balanced chic/classic look".. if "the bad kitty" look isn't your vibe. lol..But you have to admit, that it is kind of fun to try something different! Let me tell yah, my hubby thought that my new find was just.. ohhh, sooo sexy. lol..

As I was conducting my fashion research on google, here are some ideas that I found for all of you fashion goddesses out there; and some looks might me dramatic for you, but it can give you ideas.. and when I share my vid with you tomorrow, you will see how these looks can look for you in a fun and practical way!
Look #1.. The Classic Sexy Look

The lace does wonders!! This would look great with a pair of rolled up jeans, skinny or a boys cut.  I would keep everything simple and basic because the lace makes such as statement.. Am thinking maybe a white, gray, or black T with boyfriend jacket/blazer.. and Pearls?  Or  so sexy in a "pencil" skirt or a long plaid skirt, or even a little black flowing chiffon skirt.  The main key is to mix up the texture and pattern a little, to make it fun, classy, and not to over do it with the "Koochie Mama" look :). If you are going to pull of these anklets/shoes, you can't wear a low neck tight fitting shirt or a mini skirt that is up to your thong, lol..  (granted if you did not have the anklets on, you could, lol!)

If you look at Rhianna, see how she softens up the look with a feminine and classy look?

What is soo cool about these shoes is that if you live in a climate that eventually you look kind of weird wearing open toe shoes,  platforms, etc, during the fall, well now you can get much more wear out of your shoes!

***I must warn you that this shoe is extremely hot for Fall!***

Stay tuned for my vid and I will share more with you on my blog of how to wear the gladiator and boot with anklets too! :)

Have fun with socks! Opaques are the best too :) Cant wait to show my "glitter" socks tomorrow.

Hope that you all enjoyed..  And what an economical way to spruce up your Fall Wardrobe:)

xoxo Merci!

My pick of a really cool golf shirt for the front nine!

Isn't this the cutest shirt for the course? It amazes me when I see such cute clothes, it is
simple but so on the cutting edge; "Player", now that is cool! Why can't I be that creative? lol
I love the fact that the designer, "Donna Bonn Taylor" put her unique creativity to make this a fun shirt, yet stick to the "etiquette" of the game... to wear a shirt with a collar.

I finally am getting back into my game, and have been having the time of my life. Even if you are not a Golfer Goddess, it is okay; I bet that if your significant other golfs, he would love to have you play with him..  besides....  it will give you an excuse to buy this fabo shirt!

My new "meetup" group for women golfers in the OC has been great too, and one fellow golfer who I met told me that she took up golf so she can wear the cute clothes! haha. So you see, it is okay to fall in love clothes that may not be up your alley, but no worries, because I think that we always find a way or reason to wear it :). Don't you agree with me? lol

Here is the link to see Donna's collection, but make sure that you click on the "Golf 4 Her" advertisement on my blog. I guarantee that you will have fun checking out the styles.. everything from diva ball markers to checkered golf gloves :).. see for yourself! :)

Well fashion girls, I hope that you enjoyed!  Golf can be fun and instead of the walking on the "red carpet", let's get some style from "Golf 4 Her" and walk on the "green carpet"..

Pass it on girls! :))) Stay tuned for my day at the California Mart!! :)

The Slimming Bathing Suit.. the Tankini!

Yes mame, it is that time of year when the blue skies begin to fade, the big clouds are slowly rolling in, and the "crickets" start to chirp during the day. That is what I used to hear back in Michigan when the summer was coming to end.. lol.  But, there is still ample time to enjoy summer and those Summer Clearance Sales!  I like to buy clothes on the clearance rack for the next season, and especially bathing suits. They are a safe bet, pretty much classic and the trends aren't too outrageous that will leave you with "what in the *&*&" was I thinking when I bought that!

I am going to do a mini series on body shapes and what type of bathing suit will enhance your natural assets and beauty!  This way you will have the tools to get out there and shop those clearance racks for the perfect suit!

On that note.. this is for all of the girls in the house who want to slenderize (who doesn't?, lol) and make your midsection look longer and leaner, the solution.. the Tankini!

I love these pics and had a very hard time choosing what pics to post because there are soo many to choose from :)

Here are some other tips for all of you beach babes out there

* The solid print will slenderize your body, especially dark colors.

*When it comes to prints, make sure to find the best one for you; if you wear a print that is too large for your frame, it will engulf you. On the other hand, if you wear prints that are too small for your frame, then you will look larger. And for those of you beach babes who that are average to plus size, go for the medium to large prints.  Another little tip, if you are full figured petite, go for vertical medium prints.

* When it comes to the neckline of a bathing suit, a v-neck will slim down your upper body and draw the eye away from the bust line.  However, if you have a "pear body shape", where your shoulders are more narrow compared to your hips/butt, then go for the scoop and crew neck tops.  This will help balance your body and even make your butt look smaller! :) yippee!

* Always go for the "vertical" print versus the "horizontal" print, this will give you a very slim look because it will draw the eye up and down, giving you a longer, leaner look.

*If you are short waisted, like ME,  stay away from a high cut bottom,, mmm? I always thought that helped BUT, if wear bottoms as shown above, this will help balance a shorter waist.

I love these suits too!  I wanted to show you a bikini also which can help you look leaner in the midsection.  If you look at the bottoms of the blue bikini, you will see is a wrapped at the waist, which will define your waist and hide a tummy! :)

Finally, the last suit to display today is one that is a "one-piece", but you can see how it slenderizes and gives a very racy, sexy, look!

Hope that these tips helped you!  I just think that the "Tankini" looks very sexy on everyone, no matter what shape or size that you are.  A shopping tip for you..  check out Target's clearance racks, I always find a mis-matched top or bottom for $3.74!  Who says that your tops and bottoms have to match?  Eventually, you will find a piece that matches your collection. Kohl's also has some great clearance sales, and sometimes you can receive a 15% off coupon in the mail or on line :)

That is it for now Beach Babes!!!!  Merci!! xooxoxo

Cali by Cal... Finally, clothing with built in bras!

Bon Jour ! Gosh it has been soo long since I have talked to my girls! Lot's going on at the house, actually a new makeover! Yeah!  But, I am back and I must say that I missed you :)

I have to admit, besides my shoe obsession, I am addicted to signing up for fashion blogs,  sample sales, fashion events, new boutiques, cool on line stores. You name it, I get it! But I came across this and thought that because it is summer, you all may really appreciate this!  Have you ever wanted to wear a really nice tank, v neck, or even better, an off the shoulder shirt (which by the way is veryy sexy!), but do not want to deal with the bra strap deal?
Well, divas, the Fashion Gods have been listening to us!

What do you think??  I LOVE IT! This is only one picture of many of the pieces that this unique company designs.  The best part, you don't have to be a Cali girl to wear these fashionable pieces!  Check out the link below to see more of the collection where to find a store near you :)

FInally! "Hot', 'Hot", "Hot" Golf Apparel!

OOH LA LA!

Don't you love Face Book?  I love catching up with old and new friends and.....  finding fashion, events, and just cool stuff! So, the other day, I saw this advertisement for "Golf4her",, and OMG, totally love it!

I grew up on golf, and played avidly and competed for 9 years.. and man do I remember,, the "dress codes". And way back then (1977 -1986), it was so hard to find the "proper clothes" that were cute! I think that I had every color in "Izod" polos :). lol!

My Mom and her friends always wore the cute skirts that were the typical green and pink, khaki, green and blue...  flamingos, whales, turtles, etc. you know the "preppy look", which I love, but when I saw these designers, Man oh Man!  I am inspired to get back onto the course!

I have many more styles and designers that I fell in love with "Golf4Her"...www.golf4her.com and you can find them on fb @Golf4her...  Check them out, the company is very warm and sincere.  I had posted a few comments on FB and actually got a personal response!!  Plus, they finally listened to the need of women golfers, we are not dudes, we are chicks who need some fashion out there on the course! :)))

These fashions are just so darn trendy, rock starish, and different, that even if I have a terrible game, I won't care, I have my hot outfit! lol So, without further adoo...  drum roll...... these are just a few picks from one of the designers that I love. "Loudmouth", bringing sexy to the 19th hole and beyond!

Skirt #1
Skirt #2

Skirt #3

Whatcha golfers think?  Even if you are not a golfer, why not get a hot skirt?  Hey if anything, my game may not be "hot" anymore, but with these skirts, I can look "hot"!! lol.  (PS..  I found golf gloves that even match the skirts!)

Stay tuned for more of my favs.... :) As I really had a difficult time posting my first! lol - I love everything!!!!

Have a beautiful day, and does anyone want to play some golf?  BTW, my hubby bought me new clubs (yes, I have had the same set since highschool, they don't make the "woods anymore", haha),, just need some lessons!
But first, one ? for yah, what skirt do you like the best?  (there are more on the website too! )

On that note, I am off, and can't wait to get on the course with my new skirt!

Merci!!!!  xooxoxoxoxoxoxooxox

Do you want to know the secret.. for stronger, healthier, and longer hair :)

Here it is Mademoiselles!  How ironic is it? I spoke to two hair stylists today and it was recommended to use Biotin to help strengthen my hair, ultimately, LONGER and HEALTHIER hair!

If you have hair like mine which will grows SOO SLOW and when it does grow, it breaks off!  Can you relate? lol.. When I was a little girl,  I had long hair, but that was a long time ago!

I often think,, should I get extensions?  But it probably would be like getting acrylic nails..?? Beautiful at first and your hands look younger... but the damage can be brutal!... Kind of like extensions?

What do you think about that???

Well girls, I am calling it a night, but wanted to let yah know about "our" secret..  Tomorrow, I must buy Biotin!  You can buy it on Amazon (click on the link) or any drugstore.. (I think)...

Merci!! xoxoxoxox

The Modern Cardigan.. chic, sexy, for every size :)

Cardigans...  what do you think of when you hear cardigan..??  Your Dad's golf sweater, preppy, wearing your boyfriends "Letter Sweater"? lol,  Well have I got news for you!!  I have found some awesome different ways to wear the cardigan.. and I BET THAT YOU HAVE ONE IN YOUR CLOSET?? If not,  check out your Dad's, Grandpa's,  or better yet, the Goodwill!

The pics above show you how you can use a cardigan for summer with a cute pair of shorts, jeans, or a skirt.

But the some pics that I really loved because they are examples of every day people, different sizes, and how you can go through your closet, and put an outfit together.  I am seeing a trend with "belts, both big and skinny". Even if you are "hiding" behind that shirt.. come on, emphasize your curves and waist.. :)

Pic #1...  love the colors, layering, and gold belt,, notice the shoes? :)

Picture #2.. Oooh, I like! The beautiful colors, the versatility (casual, girlfriend time, or work).. and my fav.. the scarf :) . You could dress it up with a pair of boots, heels, and a cool bag!

Picture #3-- Love the dress, tights, belt, accented orange cardigan, and the "open toe" shoe.

Picture #4.. Totally love this!  She has her own blog and I love what
she does to pull together an outfit, down to every accessory!  She wears it well, and so can you!

Picture #5,, Once again, great fashion taste!  Love the colors, femininity, the layering, the thickness of the belt, and DID YOU NOTICE>> the Open Toe Shoe!

Okay girls, now let's go to our closet and see what we find!  Take some pics and show me!! Have some fun and be different:)). MERCI, xoxoxoox
